Hazel and her brother Russell are joy-filled, non-verbal, sweet, and energetic kids, just like you! They were both born with a rare genetic condition affecting every part of their body called Nonketotic-Hyperglycinemia.

This condition causes them to have stiff muscles, vision problems (CVI), a history of seizures, as well as developmental and physical delays.

 

There is no cure for this condition. They will live with this their whole life. But they certainly don't let this keep them from being full of joy and happiness!

Hazel will be 7 July 2024 and Russell will be 4 June 2024. They both attend school near their home in East Tennessee.
